Why delivery riders switch to e-bikes
An e-bike cuts the biggest costs of delivering by car: fuel, parking, and vehicle wear. Pedal assist keeps you moving without arriving exhausted, and you can usually reach the door faster in dense areas.

Frequently asked questions
What is the best e-bike for food delivery in Scottsdale?
Look for a comfortable upright e-bike with a large battery (enough range for a full shift), a rear rack that fits a delivery bag, puncture-resistant tires, and integrated lights. Commuter and cargo-capable models from Trek, Aventon, and Benno are popular choices. Stop by and we will match a bike to your routes.
How much could a food delivery driver save by switching from a car to an e-bike?
At 12,500 delivery miles per year, our example estimates about $3,910 in annual running-cost savings: roughly $4,850 for a car versus $940 for an e-bike. That is about $78 per week, and a $2,000 e-bike pays for itself in about 6 months. Actual costs vary with mileage, gas prices, maintenance, the bike, and taxes.
How far can an e-bike go on one charge during a delivery shift?
Most delivery-ready e-bikes we carry are rated for roughly 40 to 80+ miles per charge depending on battery size, assist level, rider weight, and heat. For long shifts, pick a larger battery or carry your charger. We help you match battery size to how many hours you ride.
Do I need a license or registration to ride an e-bike in Arizona?
Under Arizona law, Class 1, 2, and 3 e-bikes are treated like bicycles, so no license, registration, or insurance is required. Class 3 riders must be 16 or older. Check local path rules, since some multi-use paths limit Class 3 bikes.
Can I finance an e-bike for delivery work?
Yes. PedalJets offers Affirm financing on bike purchases from $700 to $30,000, with 6 months at 0% or 12 or 24 months at 10%, subject to approval.
